First 15 radiographers graduated in 1952.

The first radiographers were educated in the beginning of 1950s. At that time the tittle was rontgentechnical assistant and it took one year to qualify. In min 1960s’ the tittle was changed to radiographer and same time the education changed to two years. Then again 1970 an additional six months was added to the edudation, making it now two and half years. In 1987 total renovation of the educational system took place and the old radiographer education became history.

In 1990s radiographer education was moved to University (UAS) and simultaneously the lenght of the education was changed to three and half years, corresponding 210 ETCS.
